Update: USC has officially announced the hiring of Lincoln Riley.

Pete Thamel with Yahoo Sports is reporting that USC is closing in on Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley with a possible announcement coming within 24 hours.

Matt Zenitz of On3Sports is reporting that Riley has informed his staff that he is taking the job at Southern Cal.

What? 2.5 million for a Women’s Basketball Coach for a program that lost 4.5 million dollars last year with a coach who made “only” $700,000? Now the loss will increase by another 1.5 million just in her salary alone? You don’t think that was a good financial move? Well it wasn’t.
