Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports
Former LSU coach Les Miles has hired sports agent Trace Armstrong to represent him, according to The Advocate:
quote:

Armstrong, a former Pro Bowl defensive end and first-round NFL draft pick, is one of the more powerful sports agents in the profession. He represents Ohio State's Urban Meyer, Notre Dame's Brian Kelly, Houston’s Tom Herman and Penn State's James Franklin.

Miles’ decision to expand his agency team is a sign he's serious about coaching again. He’s ramping up his search for employment with one of the most proven, experienced agents around.

"I'm fighting like heck," he told The Advocate on Friday, "trying to win a championship at another place."

Whoa, don't know wtf happened....anyways, we get it you miserable rant fricks don't like him, but quit acting like he didn't do great things here. It was time for him to go, but that doesn't change all the great things he did for our university. Some of you people are so miserable, the only way you can feel good is by trying to put down another man. It's sad.

I would pull for him each and every game, but it seems like a dubious task for him to maintain success

Miles fires the agent who helped him with multiple extensions and raises, but couldn't convince himself to fire Cam Cameron

That is a good point. Like any college will pay him big cheese to put ole school on the field. He will not coach again. This is a scam. Frank Solich had to coach again. Les has more green in his closet that Hillary

He should go to Arky since the POS used his friend , the AD at Arky, to get a raise from dumb frick Aranda. Miles is a dumbass who will totally collapse when not able to recruit in a rich state like LA.

Les is going to be exposed if he takes another job. You have to have the players to run the system that he wants. He is about to destroy whatever legacy he had. Just go to TV LM

I agree. He is class act but will never have the ingredients for success like he had here. Retire and enjoy your wad

So if his "Sports" agent is under retainer when Les is hired on as a Gameday host, does he still get 20%?

LSU should hire Miles back in the offseason. It would be glorious.

Why do so many of you think Les Miles is an attractive hire? Last 5 seasons he is 39-16 (71% winning percentage), but because 3 of your 4 non-conference games are usually cupcakes, look at just the conference record. Since 2012 Les Miles is 34-14 in the SEC (59% winning percentage) with some of the best talent in the country on each of those rosters. Explain to me how your're going to win championships with Les Miles at any other school with less talent. When you hire him, you are also hiring his quirky mentality, poor clock management, stubbornness, and an offense that can barely scrape up 14-17 pts. Why? He is so overrated. A good coach? Yeah. A great coach? No

34-14 is a 71% winning percent. He was also 21-13 in the SEC since 2012, which is 62%.

39-16 is 71%. The conference record yeah, its 21-13, I accidentally added in other games. So an increase of 3%. I can see Miles landing a gig in the BIG10

Not only does he win a bunch but he does it without landing the program in trouble, and he won't be caught joyriding with a female staff member. LSU was very lucky to land him when Saban left, and will be lucky to find someone of his caliber to replace him.

Not sure why everyone has to have so much hate for Les. He gave me some of the greatest memories I can have. Wish him the best.

He will be missed If the tigers head south. But an average coach can get players here and throw the damn ball. Got nothing but love for Les, but he made his fortune.

the offense setting records in multiple games after his firing pretty much extinguished any chance of a big job for him, he pissed away 5 years of amazing takent here.

Baylor would be foolish to not at least look at Les. He's recruited TX pretty well back to his OK State days, and he would keep them in the top half of the B12, and compete for a conference championship every couple years.

"Baylor would be foolish to not at least look at Les....and he would keep them in the top half of the B12, and compete for a conference championship every couple years." Since his last stint there, both the Big 12 offenses (wide open and very productive point wise) and Les' offenses (very conservative and scoring few points) have changed a lot. I think Les would struggle in today's Big 12. Nevertheless, I wish him well. Personally, I don't think he'll ever coach again at an elite program. A gig on ESPN, College Game Day or something similar would be he best option.
