The always quirky Mike Leach made his SEC Coaches Teleconference debut on Wednesday and it went exactly how you would expect.

Leach started off the call by skipping his opening comments, went right into questions, and even plugged his new book.

At one point Leach recalled his last trip to Baton Rouge and said "ladies with their grandchildren were flipping off the team bus..."

He wrapped up his call with comments on SEC mascots, like Bulldogs and Tigers, and somehow ended up talking about football in Canada?

Congrats to State on a great hire. He is good for the SEC and he will be good for MSU. It is hard to root against Mike Leach.

Leach is fricking great. I'd take him as an assistant under Coach O any day.

Don’t worry Mike, Mike doesn’t go to games anymore. You’re safe.

My favorite coach in all of football! He is a genius, a good coach and entertaining as hell!

The comment about Tigers being an overused mascot name is interesting, since Bulldogs is the only name used more often.

He would have made a great HC at LSU! If he had been hired instead of Miles, well, y'all uMiles was funny. Lol But you would have had an exciting offense at LSU to go along with the fun, and probably multiple championships instead of just that 1 that Miles was able to luckily get.

That’s ok we will leave the fun nonsense to another school this decade. We already had our Miles

No. Just like Miles, he is great for laughs at another school.

Both coaches were definitely entertaining, and I definitely love Leach. But just like Miles never having good offenses, Leach has never had good defenses.

Boo these two. Leach is phenomenal and I hope he never leaves the SEC again.
