Former LSU GM Austin Thomas Is Headed Back To Ole Miss

Ole Miss is expected to hire Austin Thomas to be the Rebels' new general manager, according to Chase Parham.

Thomas just wrapped up his third stint at LSU, working under previous head coaches Les Miles, Ed Orgeron, and Brian Kelly.

Thomas worked under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss from 2022 to 2024 and was hired by Brian Kelly in January of 2024. Kiffin did not retain Thomas when he landed the LSU job.

Billy Glasscock, who served as Ole Miss' General Manager for the past two seasons under Kiffin, is expected to replace Thomas in Baton Rouge.

I remember when he left LSU for I believe Tennessee when he was on Les Miles staff. He was known as a fierce recruiter then, but in his third stint with LSU he was tasked with NIL management, which outside of a few players did not reflect all that well under his watch. Looking forward to Glascock running things and what he can bring to the staff. I’m glad Austin Thomas is gone.
