It has all the ambiance of standing around under the interstate drinking out of a paper bag.

I am unsure what everyone was expecting. The common folk aren't getting a nice club to sit around in. It's meant to go in, enjoy for 20-30 minutes and pound your crap brew, and GTFO so some other sucker can get his beer.

So it’s basically beer sectioned off in the walkway? Pass

How the frick much did y’all think the beer would cost? It was $9 in Arlington.

The area looks like it was decorated by a high school prom committee. But the price is par for the course.

It's a sad state of beer drinking affairs in Louisiana when Michelob Utra is priced up alongside craft beers:(

That’s laughable. Was expecting it to be like a club level style glass walled bar

So they basically just roped off an area and changed the booths to beer?
It honestly looks kind of terrible with the previous hype

Good idea. Trashy execution.

LOL. Was expecting something a little better than a concession stand tricked out with purple printed poster board from Michael's. With that said, at least we have beer now. That's a start.

After thinking about this for a little bit I agree. On such short notice I guess this is the best they can do. I do look for a huge improvement for next year. It is a start!

In beer speak, it’s Busch league.

I can't imagine why anymore we want to be down there or when there is an actual game going on. It defeats the purpose of attending the game. If you just absolutely must have a beer during the game, you might have a drinking problem. A $20 cover is highway robbery.

Facking joke. Where’s the yeungling? Abita amber? Sam Adams? Those beers are shite and way over priced. Hope alleva loses his arse on this.

That is not what I would consider a bar. Actually quite embarrassing. Very poorly done.

Damn after seeing what they have in Arlington... this is depressing

OMG!!! This is so embarrassing! Let's partition a section under the stadium, charge people $20 to enter and oh you get two beers!
user avatar
tigerforever793 months
Wait, you can only get two beers?

It honestly looks like they threw it together one weekend with a few stadium crew. Roped off a few square yards of area, tossed in some stools in the corner and by a pillar, plopped a folding table out there, set up a couple beer carts and a drive-by burger window, and put up a flat screen somewhere. This is simply underwhelming for all the "beer garden" hype and hope. I'm not going to complain if we win games and/or the concessions get quicker/more affordable. But this is pretty much a fail as a stand-alone thing at this point.

OK, the video looks much better than the pictures. The video makes it look OK. Still not worth 6$ domestic beer, although you do get two beers with entrance which isn't bad. It does already look like it'll be a glorified too-packed Fred's/Reggie's, not the cool, hipster vibe like the Bulldog. I'll glance in probably; if not too packed, I may try it. Likely, they'll see how we respond, and if the place gets traffic, they'll invest in making it legit.

It looks like that because that's exactly what it is lol. Hopefully they remodel as money comes in. Wouldn't take all that much if you have sponsors from local business chipping in. Floors from so and so, TVs by so and so, tables made by so and so. Not that hard to do and it's great advertising for your business. Could make this thing look awesome and make people want to be there. Put some comfortable furniture in there with TVs all over. Girls coming around to serve you so you don't have to get up. Just group together with some buddies and watch the game. It would sell out to those who don't have tickets. Give them a nice place to watch the game and hear the roar of the crowd so you're somewhat a part of the game. They can do much better than this.

I guess I was a fool for actually thinking they would enclose it and make it have a cool bar room type feel with wood flooring and such. I was hoping they'd try to replicate the aura of The Chimes or something but instead they've wrapped a few concrete columns and wheeled in several beer carts. Maybe in the future they'll keep adding improvements.
