LSU linebacker Jacob Phillips returned to practice on Monday after missing the Florida game with a minor injury.

Reserve nose tackle Tyler Shelvin, who did not travel with the team to Gainesville last week, was absent on Monday. NOLA.com is reporting that Shelvin violated team rules but is expected to be back with the team soon.

Tight end Foster Moreau was also not present to start the week. Moreau's backup Thaddeus Moss practiced on Monday but has not played in a game yet.

Sophomore cornerback Jontre Kirklin moved to the offense on Monday and was working with the slot receivers.

I hope we can make it work with Shelvin. We could be very thin at NT after this year and guys with Shelvin’s ability don’t grow on trees

Moss needs to get in. Foster has to play every TE snap. I like him but give the guy some help.

LSU is getting no production from Giles. We have to have production there.

With all these receivers we need to move someone from defense?

Well. Giles sucks and receivers didn’t step up on those last two passes before the second interception. Next man up. I like the move.

If we don’t beat 1 of the big boys w/ this defense in Death Valley I’m off the Orgeron bus. Must win week! Have to beat Georgia at home. No fricking excuses

Another position change?

There must be some kind of potential violation that is making LSU hesitant to use Moss in a game that could later be counted as a loss if there is a violation.
