LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was named the Home Depot Coach of the Year on Wednesday.

He's the first LSU coach to win the award since Les Miles in 2011. Per WAFB.com:
quote:

Orgeron has led the Tigers to a 13-0 mark and the 2019 SEC Championship.

Of Orgeron’s 38 wins, 29 have come by double-figures, 16 have come against teams ranked in the Top 25 and 10 of those were against opponents ranked in the Top 10.

The Tigers are 13-0 for only the second time in school history and LSU will bring a 14-game winning streak into its CFP National Semifinal game against fourth-ranked Oklahoma on Dec. 28 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.

Great Job Coach O, Everytime I hear your locker room speeches on the Hype Videos, I want to punch a hole in the wall or flip a table.

He's made an amazing transformation from the dark pit of failure and ridicule at Ole Miss into an astute decision maker who knows how to manage his team and his assistants much like an orchestra is managed by its conductor.

Well-deserved, Coach O. The man exudes confidence and trust in his players and thus do the Tigers. Great attributes for any leader.

Well deserved. He talked the talk (told us his plans) and walked the walk (executed the plans). His whole story is just awesome.
