LSU wide receiver Jonathan Giles will be switching from No. 7 to No. 12 in an attempt to break out of a slump.

Giles, who was Texas Tech's leading wide receiver in 2016 with 69 receptions for 1158 yards and 13 touchdowns, has only caught four passes for 20 yards this season.

I hope all of you tiger fans don't have kids with all the negative comments. What if it was your son or daughter in sports? How would you feel?

don't you have to be productive to begin with to then have a slump?

He shouldn’t even be starting.

This explains why LSU lost to UF.

hew never earned, nor proved talented enough to wear a number "usually" reserved only for the player who stands out above the rest both on and off the field. it was given to him for nothing and diminished what that number traditionally stood for. not saying he isnt a good kid, but he is not a team leader on and off the field

Again again and Again I questioned months ago how a man neveron the team(we talkin bout practice) gets the honor of 7. Bad move on the coaches

Leave it to an LSU student to think that switching around some fabric on a jersey will alter physical performance. A joke and an idiot

Giles never performed to the level of #7 so this is good to see. Before he came to LSU, I read he was the bomb and also during preseason practices. More like a dud.

Transfer should never ever get that

A jersey number doesn't change your speed. He is playing way too slow for an SEC team. He's our 7th best WR. The only positive so far has been that he is a safe punt returner, but then today he botched that by fielding the ball inside the 10 several times.

He is not a play-maker against SEC defenses.

I don’t think he has made one defender miss all year. He is not a threat at all with the ball in his hands.

He needs to switch teams.

Also, this is stupid. It’s a number.

Have you ever played? It’s totally psychological. He couldn’t handle the pressure I bet.

It won’t help him be a better football player. Never in the history of football is a number responsible for making a football player run faster or catch better

I played football for 15 years. I'll have to agree with (AMac) its psychological. I always hated having to change numbers.
