LSU starting safety Major Burns announced on social media Thursday night that he will be returning to the team next season.

The Baton Rouge native just wrapped up his second season with the Tigers after spending his freshman year at Georiga.

Burns suffered an upper neck injury vs. Mississippi State this season and missed five games before returning for the Alabama game.

This guy has more room to grow so that he will get a bigger payday in the future. I hope he gets a degree to go with the money

Why does this need to be announced? The self-gloating of these guys, I swear.

What is even more questionable is why this bothers you so much.

Don’t worry brother you aren’t the only one losing interest in the off season bullshite to empower all these already inflated egos. If I was younger maybe I’d pay more attention but I’ll wait and see who shows up ready for the season wearing P & G and go from there.

I hope young Baw ends up with 17 INT's and gets drafted number 3 in the first round.

I hope someone trashes your work product for all the world to see while you were out for a personal reason. Major is a class act, fantastic player, and was hurt for most of the season.

Lol I meant it as a positive comment. But cbarkley's interpretation skewed people reading it and I get downvoted

Nothing in the way you wrote that made it sound positive. It absolutely says he did not live up to his name last year.
