LSU Is Set To Hire Notre Dame's Brian Kelly As Head Coach

Multiple sources are reporting that LSU is set to hire Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly, with an announcement coming as soon as Tuesday.

The news was first reported by Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports and confirmed by Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated.

The 60-year old coach from Everett, Massachusetts is in his 12th season at Notre Dame with an overall record of 113-40. The 6th-ranked Irish are currently 11-1 this season and still in the College Football Playoff hunt.

Excellent choice. Anyone who thinks this happened in one day is totally disconnected from reality. Woodward did his due diligence with this hire and has hit another home run. LSU will be a much more disciplined team than what we have had and he is the right coach at the right time to bring LSU to dominance each and every year.

Really!?! They played 2 ranked teams. They beat Wiskie and lost to Cincy. Cincy! They barely beat FSU, Toledo (Toledo!), VAT, and UNC. They struggled with Purdue. Not exactly a murderers row. Who on their schedule screams no criticism?

Napier is a fraud and a Disaster for Florida. You Napier guys apparently think getting blown out by Texas; beating Arkansas State by 1 point; beating South Alabama by 2 points; and beating Nichols by 3 points is LSU material but it isn’t. Napier has also never won the Sunbelt Conference. So what do you Napier fans find so impressive?
