Multiple sources are reporting that LSU is set to hire Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly, with an announcement coming as soon as Tuesday.

The news was first reported by Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports and confirmed by Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated.

The 60-year old coach from Everett, Massachusetts is in his 12th season at Notre Dame with an overall record of 113-40. The 6th-ranked Irish are currently 11-1 this season and still in the College Football Playoff hunt.

Yep. Coaching at Boise State is just like Coaching at ND.

at least now people will stop crying about coach bringing his girlfriend to practice.

Excellent choice. Anyone who thinks this happened in one day is totally disconnected from reality. Woodward did his due diligence with this hire and has hit another home run. LSU will be a much more disciplined team than what we have had and he is the right coach at the right time to bring LSU to dominance each and every year.

Class hire!

He's a solid coach who has won facing limited competition. He may win, but it's rarely in convincing fashion. But hey, when you get your salary tripled...your take it!

No one can criticize NDs schedule.

Really!?! They played 2 ranked teams. They beat Wiskie and lost to Cincy. Cincy! They barely beat FSU, Toledo (Toledo!), VAT, and UNC. They struggled with Purdue. Not exactly a murderers row. Who on their schedule screams no criticism?

You need to stick to the FSU part of your name. Lol.

We hired an old school, old as frick, coach who is 3-9 vs top 10 opponents. What a letdown.

Kelly is 60. Saban is 70.

Coach O is 60

I’ll take that. He’s proven, now let’s just hope players run to play for him. Maybe get one of the recruits that de-committed from OU.

I hope he can tap into the Midwest OL market

LET'S GEAUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a fricking joke. I didn't even want Lincoln Riley but he would've been much better than this. Woodward failed big time.

We should have grabbed Napier

You are truly an idiot. Who Did You want? Kiffen? To stay 2-3 years then bolt

Napier is a fraud and a Disaster for Florida. You Napier guys apparently think getting blown out by Texas; beating Arkansas State by 1 point; beating South Alabama by 2 points; and beating Nichols by 3 points is LSU material but it isn’t. Napier has also never won the Sunbelt Conference. So what do you Napier fans find so impressive?

Didn’t a kid that was filming practice get killed on his watch

Not a splash hire IMO and I don't think he has what it takes to get it done to get to the big dance in CFB in the SEC.

Well ESPN, CBS, and the internet damn sure disagrees with you.
