LSU DB Coach Corey Raymond Is Joining Florida's Staff

Longtime LSU defensive back coach and top recruiter Corey Raymond is expected the join Billy Napier's staff at Florida as "assistant head coach of the defense/cornerbacks coach," according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports.

Raymond, a New Iberia native, played cornerback at LSU from 1987-1991 and has been the defensive back coach at LSU since 2012. He added the title of Recruiting Coordinator in March of 2020.

Yup. Recruiting coordinator since 2020. Lots of highly rated yet soft and not committed to LSU football. It was time for a change. Change is difficult but BK doing the right thing.

Lowes: BK keeps whoever the frick he decides to keep based on first and foremost, a coach that is in sync with him, someone he can trust, and someone who is loyal.
