LSU cornerback Derek Singley Jr. will not participate in the NFL Scouting Combine this week as he recovers from a foot injury, according to Ian Rapoport.

Instead, Singley Jr. will work out in front of NFL scouts at LSU's Pro Day on April 6.

Going to be a rude awakening when he gets on the field and can't perform near the level he's used to, seeing as he sat on his arse for two years

Played 70% of our games in 2020. Im sure you had the same steaming hot take on Chase.

you probably said the same thing about Jamar chase. these guys don't sit on their arse while they aren't playing, genius. they're still doing plenty but your jealousy and hatred are noted.

Color me shocked that he decided not to participate in a football related activity. He's never done that before.

Lisfranc is a pretty severe injury.

His " lisfranc injury" ....
user avatar
ATLTiger51 months
Travis Etienne had a Lisfranc injury in the preseason, had surgery, and missed his whole rookie year. Fulton had one late in 2018, had surgery and wasn’t quite ready to go in spring ball. Severity can vary, but if you need surgery for a Lisfranc, it’ll take a while to recover.

Seems like all he learned in college is that he doesn't need to put in any effort to cash in on the hype he has received. Probably scared that if he participates he may drop further down the draft.

He hasnt done anything for LSU since his freshman year. Injuries and the covid year did him in.
user avatar
rob6251 months
Exactly what did Covid have to do with Stingley that anyone else didn’t have to deal with? That’s just an excuse.

He’s a diva. I wouldn’t spend a top pick on him. He’s the type that will play 50% of the games. He’s a puss.

Are there any players in NFL who are not Divas? Maybe 15% are not.

It is amazing this genuinely great kid was the number one player in the country his senior year. He never wavered on coming to LSU. He added to the appeal of DB’s coming to LSU, which helped the marketing of DBU. His performance, as a freshman garnered national attention for LSU. He gets hurt and
he is blamed for all kinds of dreamed up crap and the kid had an injury that could end some players career. We are talking LISFRANC INJURY, guys. Leave this kid alone. Show some empathy and love to a kid that made a significant contribution to the LSU brand.

He has been hurt forever but miraculously is not quite 100% ready to go to the NFL Combine but will be just dandy for LSU Pro Day. I love how you internet Doctors know all about his injury which supposedly has had him sidelined and go along with this miraculous timing of his healing. It’s BS.

More than 90% of NFL athletes who sustained Lisfranc injuries returned to play in the NFL at a median of 11.1 months from time of injury. That means 10% never return or return more than 11.1 months after the injury. That is for the people who don’t have surgery. It takes 18 months to fully recover from most surgery. The cancer are the so called fans who don’t know the truth and spew out all kinds of conclusions without any facts, regarding these players, who are human beings, not just student athletes plugged in to win Championships for those same irrational fans. Much more go into these kids and their family decisions than meets the eye. Sorry, I am speaking with reason and not irrational emotions.
