Thankful for everything he did for LSU, but this's as been coming for a while now.

Lindsey Scott is the best option at QB. Not a big ten reject or a fragile emotional QB.

Agreed. Now would be the best time to stop being scared to throw a newbie out there. Schools all over are thriving with inexperienced QBs (Louisville to name one). We have nothing to lose, and I'd be thrilled as hell to have an experienced Lindsey Scott to start the season off with next year.

All ranting aside, you did a good job CLM. You made some good cash and need to buy you a Harley and enjoy retirement. Heck, travel with Ben as he plays football in college. If you ever need a financial advisor, call me up and give me some cheese. We love you like a brodda but it is time to bring a new pimp in da crib

You idiots posting congrats for firing Les have no class and no sense of LSU football. He oversaw the greatest run of LSU football ever, period. Either you're too young to remember the late 80s or the 90s and now bad it was or your stupid in to know better. Yes, we needed a change. So some class you morons.

I thought they would wait until after the season, but I'm glad they made the move now. I don't think this will hurt our recruiting. Guys come to LSU for our positions coaches, not to play for Les Miles. Now to find a head coach that's offensive minded and can develop QBs. We stacked everywhere else.

Sure they come for varying reasons, but if you don't think a big part of it was Lee then you're not paying attention.

Should have never come to this. LSU did not have the nerve to finish the job last year. If it did, Miles would have gone out a winner on the shoulders of his players with the crowd cheering. 2016 season would have had a new coach. Everyone would have been better off. Instead, we have this embarrassment. Miles deserves better. LSU fans deserve much better. LSU admin deserves a kick in the nuts and a bunch of pink slips. Shame on the LSU admin...pussies.

wonder if he gets an LSU state retirement to go along with the payoff...

You vest with ten years. You can retire with full benefits at age 60 with ten years. Retirement is based on average of three highest earning years; retirement is 2.5% of that average for each year of service. So yeah, he'll probably get something.

His base salary is only 255000 so the 30 percent he'll get is based on that. Not that I would turn it down. 12 yrs times 2.5 percent times base plus any accrued leave. I hate that this kinky honky will have a better state retirement than most teachers and state workers. The man is set

Grateful for his victories. Ungrateful for his stubbornness. He had the easiest job in CFB and chose to make it difficult. He pissed it all away.

"He had the easiest job in CFB and choose to make it difficult." How the hell did he have the easiest job in football? Had to play in the SEC west, which most on here would say is the toughest division in the toughest conference in football. Plus he had to face a saban led bama program every year. And we all know that a large majority of posters on the rant claim that saban is second only to god.

@Earl Keese - I am not one of the posters that thinks he should have won every game. I am one of the posters that thinks that with the payroll we gave him to work with, our offense should have ranked better than 95th percentile offensively. That was what I was referencing that all he had to do was hire the Ogerons, Chavis', Arandas, on the offensive side and he failed. He wanted to meddle after years of the fans crying for more production. The rest of the country outperformed us and we managed to get lucky. All he had to do was find the best coaches we could afford.

This sucks. Never a period in LSU football compared to what Miles oversaw. But it had to happen. Thanks Les. God Bless.
