NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein is predicting that the Miami Dolphins will trade up to select LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

No. 1 - Miami Dolphins
Joe Burrow - QB
School: LSU | Year: Senior (RS)

PROJECTED TRADE WITH BENGALS. If there is any sense in Cincinnati that Burrow doesn't want to be a Bengal long-term, then the team should listen to offers. An NFL executive I consulted with felt that including all three of Miami's first-round picks in this deal would be too much, so I'm sending Cincy Pick Nos. 5 and 18, as well as second-round selections.
Zierlein has the Dallas Cowboys taking K'Lavon Chaisson with the No. 17 pick, the Philadelphia Eagles taking Justin Jefferson with the No. 21 pick, and the New England Patriots taking Patrick Queen with pick No. 23.
quote:

No. 17 - Dallas Cowboys
K'Lavon Chaisson - Edge
School: LSU | Year: Sophomore (RS)

Dallas selects a slithery edge rusher who put together his best work over the second half of the 2019 season. He should inject some spice into the Cowboys' pass rush.

No. 21 - Philadelphia Eagles
Justin Jefferson - WR
School: LSU | Year: Junior

Jefferson has excellent ball skills and was terrific when working from the slot in 2019. He can play inside or outside and offers an upgrade for the offense.

No. 23 - New England Patriots
Patrick Queen - LB
School: LSU | Year: Junior

Figuring out what Bill Belichick is going to do isn't getting any easier. However, Queen is tough and fast. He could become the new leader of the defense by next year.

I think Delpit possibly falling to early second is less to do with him and more about the value of safties in today's NFL. Simmons is the only one in this particular mock draft and he is really a hybrid that can play LB. There are 5 CBs in this 1st round but surprisingly no Fulton.

Anyone who has watched Chaisson knows that he is not my edge rusher. His game is far bigger than simply being an edge rusher.

Many mocks lately have him going in the second round.

he battled that ankle most of the season, if his stock slipped then whoever picks him up will get him at a steal

I've been saying this. Burrow needs to be in Miami.

No way Miami trades up to #1. They’re not giving up a first round pic just to move from 5 to 1.

They would if it means they get a franchise QB for 10 years

I like Joe as much as the next guy, but there is no guarantee he’s going to be a franchise QB for the next 10 years. Why trade for the #1 pick when you can stay at 5 and draft Tua or Herbert or even Love. Miami has 3 first round picks. They should keep all 3 and help improve their team.

People are overthinking this. Unless the Redskins want to pull a Cardinals (and that was only because it was Kyler Murray), Miami will get Tua without making any trades. I don't think the Chargers want Tua, or are willing to trade for Tua either.

When has Cinci ever moved up or back in the draft? The answer is never. Burrow will be a Bengal. This is for clicks on the part of the “expert”.

I just can’t see Joe Burrow playing for anyone else other than Cincy. It’s destiny. Ohio kid playing for his hometown team. What more could you want
