Joe has to make a statement. He spoke with actions in allowing the crowd on the field. Good work for once Joe.

Not only from Duke but the very AD that hung his innocent Lacrosse team out to dry on unfounded (and later proven untrue) rape charges. Killed those kids future...

What are they gonna do? Put a net around the field? Shoot tear gas on the field? Every Saturday somewhere fans rush the field. FYI: Mall cops are not going to stop 20k fans

Look, if we beat Bama, we are taking the field again.

If we beat Bama, I will personally mail $5 to cover the prettiest girl that ran onto the field.

If they charged each fan a small fee to be able to run on the field, he’d be all for it. Prob in the works as we speak.

The cost of the the fines is insignificant to the potential cost of a string of losses. I'm sure LSU is happy to deal with a couple of fines rather than the alternative.

Payments of $1k a year for the next 100 years.

That cost will get passed onto fans somehow LSU isn’t paying that

screw alleva. at least people stayed until the end of the game. normally fans storming the field is the least of his concerns. they are usually home by game's end.

The increase in ticket prices alone more than covered the $100K fine. In fact, the revenue from the price increase for the tickets sold for this game alone, which was sold out (over 100,000 seats) paid for the fine.

Hell, they probably covered the 100k in concessions!

He had to respond, and for once, he did something right. He didn't blast the fans or anything, just gave the appropriate response.

Totally Agree!

Well it's not like we are a bunch of democratic protestors going on the filed to riot.

Pleasantly surprised by this statement. Kudos Joe. now, dont try to make the fine money back by taxing urinal usage next.
