I think this is actually a good sign. Anyone who ever actually played the game at a high level knows that when a team holds a player's only meeting, it is often a good time to bond, grow together as brothers, share what's on your heart and solidify support behind the coaching staff. Look out Miami.

Well said. The team just lost a few of their teammates/friends/brothers from the team. It’s a good sign the leaders stepped up and called this meeting to make sure everyone bands together and stays on the same page and at the same time get whatever feelings they have off their chest now.

Two guys at a key position transferring is normal, but on the same day is rough. Ithas an effect on the players they bonded with. A player meeting is good.

I think it actually shows leadership to have one prior to the season.... now if we dropped a few games and then had a players only meeting, then I'd be worried.
