ESPN announced Wednesday that former LSU and NFL star defensive tackle Booger McFarland will join Joe Tessitore in the announcing booth for ESPN's Monday Night Football.

McFarland will replace Jason Witten who came out of retirement this offseason to rejoin the Dallas Cowboys.

McFarland, a native of Winnsboro, Louisiana, played at LSU from 1995 to 1998 and won Super Bowls with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Indianapolis Colts during his nine-year NFL career.

For Sale: Used BoogerMobile. Back has slight damage caused by fans with blocked view of game throwing objects. Make offer.

From the SEC channel to MNF, in what, two years? That is pretty damn impressive. He is clearly earning the respect of the right people.... As long as they keep his hands off the screen so you do not have to look at that jacked up finger, I think he will be great.

Still not the line-up everyone was hoping for, but far better than last year.

Supper Happy for Booger who is one of my favorite LSU football players of all time. This is a huge job and he has obviously done a lot of hard work to go from where he was when he started with ESPN to this job.
