Former LSU and NFL defensive tackle Booger McFarland has been promoted from the SEC Network to ABC where he will serve as the national in-studio analyst during college football on Saturdays.

Per ESPNMediaZone.com:
quote:

McFarland adds ABC studio work to an already extensive list of experiences during his three-year tenure at ESPN as the former LSU First Team All-American teams up with national championship-winning head coach Mack Brown to be the network’s analysts. SportsCenter anchor Kevin Negandhi, who has hosted numerous marquee events over his ESPN career, will host the three-man network studio coverage.

McFarland’s ESPN career was launched with SEC Network, as the former NFL Draft first round pick has regularly appeared on the platform’s studio coverage for the last three years, while simultaneously growing his profile across other ESPN entities including SportsCenter, College Football Live and Mike & Mike, where he has co-hosted in addition to being a regular guest.

he's been booger his entire career. Why would they make him stop using that? It would be like if the Tri-Lambs forced Dudley Dawson to stop being called Booger.

Booger used to drive around campus in a beat up tiny red Isuzu pickup truck. His face alone filled up that truck's cab. Glad to see him doing so well for himself professionally.

Happy for Booger but sad as an LSU (SEC) fan because we don't watch ABC on football Saturdays. He is very knowledgeable about the SEC and I will feel bad watching him breakdown West Coast and Big 12 games.

i hope he takes this oportunity to promote LSU on the national stage. He must not have liked LES Miles, because he trashed us the last couple years. Thats the TRUTH

Can't wait for people to start labeling him a traitor when he doesn't homer for LSU. His job is to be neutral. Don't expect him to start pimping the Tigers the way Lou Holtz did Notre Dame. Nobody wants that.

Screw Abc, ESPN and Disney. Happy for A.M. but I can't stomach Abc. Tell the truth A.M., tell the truth...
