Former LSU quarterback Matt Flynn was on ESPN's 104.5 FM in Baton Rouge last week and talked about his former offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher who is now the head coach at Texas A&M.

Flynn explained that Fisher's recruiting abilities concerns him as an LSU fan,
per YardBarker.com:
quote:

"Jimbo at Texas A&M scares me. He’s in Texas, where he can get all the talent he wants."

“He’s going to beat UT at recruiting. And he’s close to Louisiana. He can dip in,” Flynn said. “So this is a big season for him. It’s a big season for LSU, as far as record goes, to hopefully not allow him to have that much success when he dips here in Louisiana. But yeah, Jimbo worries me a lot as a LSU fan. He’s a good coach and a good recruiter.”

"scared" might a bit much, but anyone not at least a little worried about Jimbo at A&M isn't being honest with themselves.

have to agree with Flynn.. Dude is good at what he does and he got prob top 3/4 DC in the country with him... He will out recruit Herman... I think Herman is now thinking what the hell did i get myself into...

He'll do better than Sumlin, for sure. The cult-ness of A&M keeps is the bigger issue, IMO. Some weird shite

He will never out recruit a strong UT. He just has to hope UT stays down long enough for him to have a little success then dip out.

It’s like everyone in the SEC has an actual football coach except LSU.

Did Jimbo’s hair plugs fall out?

On a side note...I challenge you to find one person who said, “Oregeron at LSU scares me.” That tells me all I need to know.

Jimbo will be the next Aggie joke but the joke will be on A&M for 10 years. Right now Jimbo is the new kid and is being overblown but as soon as he takes a curb stomping the Aggies will be forced to see reality. Jimbo had presided over the decline of Florida State in a weak division in a weak conference. What was Jimbo denied at Florida State which jeld him back? Nothing.

The same thing was said about Saban when he went to Bama. Jimbo is going to do very well at aTm. The toughness that they’ve tried to get since joining the sec will come.

Jimbo = Overrated

How can you possibly say he’s overrated. He’s won a national title against an sec team, he’s been to the playoff, has coached multiple QBs that have been drafted in the first round including two no.1overall picks. If you think he’s overrated you are an idiot and you were probably glad to see Ed O def the job

I love how CaliTigerHB speaks 100% truth and facts regarding Jimbo and gets only down votes. LSU fans are emotional retards.

You’re damn right Jimbo Fisher is overrated!! Yes he won a National championship but what type of consistency did he have at Florida State? Dabo on the other hand has not only won a title but has built consistency in his program at Clemson

Sure. Talent was the reason his team went 5-6 last year in weak division.

Injuries? And the ACC-Atlantic was the hardest division behind the secw. Just say you're scared. It's ok.

There are only 4 active coaches that have won a national championship (possibly 3 if CUM gets the axe) and A&M has one of them.

Jimbo bringing fried chicken and sitting on the floor eating when he was recruiting Terrace Marshall, tells me he is one big POS.

I heard the same thing when sumlin was hired. I heard it again when Chavis left.
