Former LSU freshman offensive tackle Lance Heard announced Sunday that he is transferring to Tennessee.

Heard, a former five-star lineman from Monroe, La., played in 12 games this season with one start at right tackle when Emery Jones Jr. was out with an injury.

He did not travel with the team for the ReliaQuest Bowl.
