No. 1 LSU will go for their fourth National Championship when they take on No. 3 Clemson on Monday night in the New Orleans Superdome.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI), Clemson has a 55.8-percent chance of beating LSU.

LSU is currently a 6.0-favorite and the over/under total is 69.5, according to ESPN.

About the FPI:
quote:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance moving forward. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using the FPI, results to date and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.

I don't even have to look at the ESPN FPI to know it is going to pick Clemson to win. As ESPN's FPI is the biggest joke in college football.

lol LSU is going to steamroll Clemson. They know that. Blowouts don’t draw ratings so of course they’re saying Clemson has a chance.

Same thing I thought when I saw this. I actually think Clemson has a better chance than most people on this board think they do, but the FPI is shite.
