I try to be objective about LSU football and every off-season we pray the offense will evolve and take us to the next level and it doesn't and come that first week of November I have to listen to those hillbilly gumps beat us again. That being said, something feels different this time. Something is happening and this is going to be one hell of a year.

OL will take a huge step up this year if we can stay healthy of course. Many people forget the offense was installed just last year with a new play caller and brand new QB with all the negative pub. Those new faces are now veteran players along with a new young mind to help Steve E out in that department. With the additions at RB and the WRs having experience, TEs being healthy and a real edge presence on defense this team will be the most complete team we’ve had in a very long time. LSU should compete with Bama this year. Many of the other west teams will have a down year so take care of Texas, Bama and Florida and that could put us in the playoffs. Have to finally beat the red team. I think we will finally do that or have a real shot at it.

I was thinking the same thing about Taylor when I read about divinity at ilb he can do it but would I love to have tayler and Phillips in there at the same time hell yeah have divinity on the edges I would think but idc much but I think those three at lb combo will be insane with our new lb recruits giving them some breathers.. I really hope Tayler is staying in shape so if he ever gets the chance to prove himself reformed he blows the lid off of dudes

We need a new hitting coach. Same crap every year and it's getting worse.

Didn't fall for it last year. Not falling for it this year.

If the O line is really showing big improvement, combined with a 2nd year Burrow, Marshall, and Chase... I’m optimistic the offense will be much improved.

And Jefferson..?

I think Jefferson is a given - he's the presumptive MVP on offense. It's the rest of the guys who should be improving in a second year working together.
