LSU head coach Ed Orgeron addressed the media after Saturday's win over Texas A&M and was asked about the possibility of offensive coordinator Matt Canada leaving the team for a head coach opportunity at another school.

Orgeron responded by saying that he does expect Canada to pursue head coaching opportunities with all the job openings that are now available.

Coach “O” is an Idiot ! Even if he wants the man gone he should support him for what he’s done here and not say “ I wish he gets another job” . Lets keep what we have in coach Canada and lets build on the success we’ve had.

Don't do the easy thing Ed, and hire a friend. That's Les's legacy and will be your undoing. GO GET THE BEST!!!

Ensminger is exactly the kind of old ghoul I expect Orgeron to hire when his current assistants leave. Aranda may very well be gone after this season and I fully expect yaw yaw to hire another old ghoul on defense.

The fact that he hired an “old ghoul” like Canada last year led you to this conclusion?

I would think Aranda would be higher in the pecking order than Canada

Canada's offensive system has improved over the course of the season, and now you even see a lot of other team's copying the pre snap shifts and jet sweep fakes/gives to slow down and confuse defenses. I'll be disappointed if Canada leaves, but unfortunately it appears that coach O and coach Canada are not bonding. I worry about the carousel of coordinators effecting recruiting and player development more than the system though. I am hoping we can have a competent system in place for 3-4 years before changing things up.

We canned Les Miles to hire the bootleg, less successful version. Un-fricking-believable No big name OCs are going to want to coach under CEO when he’s treating guys like Canada this poorly year one.

Don't know much about the real world do you? As Saban has always said.....it's about the money. No one gives a crap how they will be treated if they're making bank. Hell, if that was the case, no one would ever coach for Saban. He chews his coaches asses out on national TV.

Can you explain how "Poorly" he is treating poor old mistreated Canada? Damn morons on this board.

Him and Canada haven’t seen eye to eye for awhile now from multiple accounts. You can hear his disapproval for the offense in between the line and how he “knows what he wants”. How often do you see the HC lobbying to find his OC any HC job this hard by the way? Don’t get the lovefest for CEO again. His success is built around having two quality coordinators, something we appear to have currently. Why fix what isn’t currently broken?

I'd be ok with it if we can hire a OC genius. All that shifting was making me dizzy.

Good news/bad news. Good news: Canada high-tails it. Bad news: here we go again... we have the entire frickin' country to explore but only look "down the bayou".

Wow. You’re a moron if you think Canada sucks. Educate yourself

Why the hell would our program go with Ensminger as OC? With all the failing HCs there will also be a bunch of amazing OCs that are looking for jobs after realizing Head Coach was not for them.

Because Ensminger knows Canada’s system (as do all of the offensive assistants), and can continue without having to install another offense next year. It’s called continuity. Not to mention, I wasn’t that impressed with Canada anyway. All of the pre snap movements didn’t really amount to much. He did throw down field much more with varied results, but Ensminger can do that as well. I would like to see Canada stay, but if he goes, the Tigers will be just fine.

So, it would be difficult to copy all the shifts, motions, jet sweeps, shovel passes, etc.? I'll bet you right now that Ensminger could run the exact same offense.

Exactly.

Why do y'all, including O, want to go backwards with the offense? I think Canada's offense would explode under a dual threat QB, and we need to continue that by now going after a spread OC. Kendal Briles took FAU from 72th in total offense and 80th in scoring offense, to 16th and 10th respectively, in one year. I'm not saying to go after him, but to go after a guy like him.

For all those who wanted Tom Herman, after his marvelous 1st season at UT, he may wish to come here soon-as the OC.

This. I just don't see what all the shouting's about. This was a very boring offense. And no lectures about the QB talent, please. Never did like this hire. He had a one-word resume: Clemson. And in typical LSU personnel moves, it will be out of the frying pan, into the fire. I miss Mark Emmert.

Right dumbass. His horizontal stretch concepts which worked and opened up vertical runs were terrible? You prefer les miles predictable play in a phone booth only??

Doubtful. He just realizes the nature of the business. Everyone who coaches wants to be the head coach. Plus, Canada has only stayed at any job 1-2 years. So you have to be prepared to replace any coach on a yearly basis.
