Kiran Chawla with WAFB is reporting that suspended LSU wide receiver Drake Davis is now facing two counts of child pornography, which has been added to the list of charges against him since being arrested on Sunday.

Davis is currently being held in jail without bond. Arrest documents allege Davis received two text messages that investigators considered pornography involving children and Davis did not delete those texts.

On Aug. 17, 2018, Davis was arrested by LSU Police and accused of second-degree battery of a female. During that investigation, officers seized Davis' cell phone as allowed by a search warrant. That phone was sent to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.

A search of his phone found two separate texts that were considered child pornography, the warrant says. Read more.

It was reported earlier this week that Davis has been kicked off the team but he still remains on LSU's official roster page. Head coach Ed Orgeron did not comment on the situation during his Monday press conference but it's safe to say Davis will not return to the team.

The journalist factually reported that INVESTIGATORS determined that there was child pornography on his phone. And you wish we were like Russia because you want journalists to be jailed for reporting news that you don't like? Also, the only thing fake is what you said. A partially nude picture of an infant in his or her mother's arms is NOT considered to be child pornography unless deemed to be sexually suggestive. I don't know if you are just thinking this shite up or getting information from unreliable sources, but I suggest you look into the law and appreciate freedom of press given to us in the U.S. constitution.
