LSU junior linebacker Devin White met with the media on Tuesday and said that the Tigers have installed new defensive schemes this offseason but that none of them will be unveiled during the Spring Game.
quote:

"The playbook has expanded a lot, White said. "We got a lot of stuff that we won't even run in the Spring Game. We're going to keep it simple."

“But come September when we’re playing Miami, we’ll pull some stuff out the hat that nobody has seen before because we just put them in this spring."

I mean, does Devin White even need a playbook? “DL, Keep the opposing OL off the second level so Devin can murder dudes” /playbook.

Devin needs to start the mind game with Miami by saying they added a new look where they remove 10 players from the Defense and just let him destroy the Offense by himself

That’s true but this is multiple times now that we are being told that Aranda has added more of what he wants to do that has not been inserted here before.

Yeah, it could be a smokescreen, but I believe Devin. Given the returning starters at DL and LB, I'd expect Coach Aranda to install some packages not previously seen at LSU or develop new packages specific to the skill sets of our players.

Devin doesn’t blow smoke and backs up his words. If someone liken Donte said it last year I may be skeptical but I trust this linebacker.

HC Aranda has a nice ring to it.
