When asked about what he would be wearing for the NFL Draft this week, former LSU running back Derrius Guice said he would keep it simple instead of wearing something flashy in fear that he will receive more un-needed backlash.

And of course the NFL can find no evidence Guice was asked those questions. YEAH RIGHT! As long as he has been a Tiger never once has he caused problems.

Unfortunately people will spin the "I can't be who I am" statement to make it sound like he's hiding a character flaw, which couldn't be further from the truth. Unfortunately when you become a millionaire, folks are going to hate on ya.

Derrius: STOP TALKING until the contract is signed. Prospective employers don't want any controversy, so stop giving them any ammo.

I saw Maylock's mock draft and he had Guice going to the Eagles. His comments said Guice has "character concerns". I was like, "are you freaking kidding me!? I understand you investing a lot of money into these athletes, but this is just waaaay too much. Some of these teams that are over-thinking are gonna miss out on a special ball player. And he's gonna make them regret it for the next 10 to 12 years.

you think a RB that runs as violently as Guice will have a 12 year career?

He’s right, you know. I can’t remember ever seeing a guy who was never suspended, never caught with drugs, never had run-ins with the law get tagged with the “character issues” label like Guice has been.

That's why Trump calls it fake news. I will never believe the mainstream media.

He'll be fine. Any team that wants him damned well knows that he hasn't had any off the field issues in college. On top of that, he is extremely well liked.

If your character was being questioned for no reason especially if you've been a model student and teammate, you would be defensive too.

Pretty sure he’s been lying and acting like a diva

He just needs to keep his mouth shut and stay humble. They’re testing his character and he’s playing right into their hands every time he responds.

I hope he's still there at 27. Would love to see Kamara and Guice on the same field.

Fake character flaws get released when a team near the end of the first round wants to make sure Guice is there for them to pick. The kid has been a model ambassador for LSU and I wish him the best in everything he tries to do in the future.

What possible character flaws could someone find in Guice? He has been a total class act since the day he set foot on LSU's campus.

This is some BS. Kid grew up rough but persevered and did everything right. ALWAYS looked like he was having the most fun of anyone on the football field and these gossipy little bitches like Mayock are trying to take money out of his pocket by spreading dumb picky little rumors. Hope this dude kills it in the NFL.

Don't blame him one bit for being pissed. Like he said he has done nothing wrong and they're criticizing his character.
