Former LSU quarterback T.C. McCartney has been hired to be the Denver Broncos new quarterback coach.

New head coach Vic Fangio announced the news this week.
quote:

McCartney has four years of NFL experience after working as an offensive assistant/quality control coach for the San Francisco 49ers (2015, 2017-18) and Cleveland Browns (2014).

He also has four years of collegiate experience between LSU and Colorado.

At LSU, McCartney worked with players like Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice, who are both now in the NFL.

Then, at Colorado, McCartney spent two seasons as an offensive graduate assistant for former head coaches Jon Embree and Mike MacIntyre.
Here is McCartney's bio from LSU:
quote:

JUNIOR SEASON (2010)
Handles sideline signals and serves as liaison between coaches in the booth and the quarterback on the field ... Played in one game and did not start ... Came on at the end of the game against ULM to seal the Tigers' victory ... Did not record an offensive statistic.

Coaching the upper tier pays pretty good. What a great life. He is still around the game he loves, and making fat cash. I wish him good luck.
