On Tuesday night, LSU quarterback Max Johnson announced that he was entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal. At the same time, his younger brother and four-star tight end Jake Johnson revealed that he was de-committing from the Tigers and reopening his recruitment.

Many believe that Max and Jake will be a package deal at their next destination and Brad Crawford with 247 Sports suggest that Florida State could likely land the Johnson brothers.

Florida State, where their father Brad Johnson went to school, is LSU's Week 1 opponent next season.

"It's not a lock by any means, but the buzz earlier this year was if Max transferred, the brothers could end up going to the same college," 247Sports national analyst and transfer portal insider Chris Hummer said. "Instinct and history say Florida State is the school to watch if that's the case. The Johnsons' dad, Brad, played quarterback for the Seminoles.

"Florida State could also really use an upgrade — or at least depth depending on how you feel about Max Johnson vs. Jordan Travis — at both positions. If the Seminoles can manage to land both, it'd be huge for Mike Norvell's momentum in Tallahassee."

Wonderful Max...hope you have learned what happens when you hold the ball too long and when you over-throw receivers...you know, those pesky little things that great qbs don't do on a routine basis... later gator, or should I say, Seminole....close enough....lol

He doesn't fit and he won't start over Jordan Travis, therefore he won't be going to FSU.

FSU? That would be the last ACC school I would leave for.
