Brian Kelly joined the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday and said that defensive back Javien Toviano will play Star for the rest of the season in LSU's defense.
Toviano, a sophomore from Arlington, Texas, has played corner and safety for the Tigers over the last two seasons. Now, he can settle in at one position, and Major Burns can return to safety when they need him there.

"We can't keep moving him around," Kelly said. "We believe Toviano is really good closer to the ball and the line of scrimmage because he such a sure tackler, and he's assignment correct."
