Sounds like someone hasn't bought in to the program

I don’t necessarily think that’s the case. It could be that he is somebody that is excelling in fall camp and other people are looking up to him and he is oblivious to his role on the team.

Watch the video. There’s a video that put it into perspective. He’s talking about be an on the field and off the field leader. He’s doing what he’s supposed to do as an individual and more but he’d like him to bring the other guys along with him and show them how to be a dominant player. “If he does that we’ll have nothing to worry about with that room” was his words.

Not necessarily. I would expect that by now, CBK has learned how to motivate most individual players, and he feels that a comment about it will hopefully do that, but it didn't sound like he was specifically calling Jeray out for poor performance

I’m thinking he just wants him to be a more vocal leader, not that he’s doing anything wrong

He's probably just a quiet guy. If I had to guess coaches have told him to be more vocal, but it may not be in his wheel house. He'll get there.

It came off as a plea for him to be more of a leader, not a warning.

Coach is trying to motivate Jaray. Maybe Coach is surprised that the some of our seniors have not been taught or exposed to such….like maybe what Kelly had instilled at Norte Dame. Thanks Coach Kelly for showing how it needs to be….and one day Jaray will thank you.

Take it behind closed doors. Not something you say to the media.

bullshite. This is exactly what these soft, entitled players need to hear. I love it. We’re back to having real leadership

He’s just a soft spoken kid, a lead by example guy.

You don’t have to be a talker to be a leader. You can lead by example and the way you do things. He probably has confidence in Jenkins and Kelly may trying to let him know he sees more in him than Jenkins sees in himself.

Jaray has never been a real talkative kid around me. Just very humble and always smiling, lol.

Love Coach Kelly’s interaction with his players.

Kelly likes calling out players

I think Kelly better hold back a bit on calling players out through the press….lots of other teams would love to have a player such as Jaray.

I took it as almost a backhanded compliment and a desire to see Jaray do more because BK knows it’s there. That’s motivation rather than calling out

Kelly is to opulent (fancy for you coonasses) to coach in the south. He can’t motivate like this. Sorry for bringing you the future.

This is the way i took it also. Not negative, just feels hes a guy the other players look up to and wants him to be more out front with the team. Step into the spotlight Jaray. Its your time big dawg

What if your coach is a psychopath? Does that maybe give you a little wiggle room?

Jaray is the lone Sr in the WR group and is talented. Not surprised Coach is sending him this message.

get used to Kelly doing this. He called players at ND out in public all the time.
