During his Monday press conference, LSU coach Brian Kelly was asked his opinion of fans rushing the field after a game.
quote:

"It always is a result of a good thing, so from that perspective, your mindset is 'that's good,' but it's not comfortable," Kelly said.

"You are in a mass of people, being moved through a crowd of people, and you are worried about someone getting knocked down. It's not something you enjoy, let's put it that way."

"You love the fact that you won the game. You love that people are celebrating an incredible victory. But the implications of what has to happen next is that they are rushing you off the field, and quite frankly, it's unsettling."

Huge win! Best Energy I've seen in Tiger Stadium since 2019.; however, regardless of the fact that Ole Piss was ranked number 9 they're not worthy of storming the field.

100%. Great win! But I’ll always see Ole Miss as a kid brother. They’ll get a lick in every now and then but the cream always rises to the top. Their trophy case is empty and beating them, no matter the rankings, is not a ‘storm the field’ moment IMO.

He's not wrong. I thought it was a valid, balanced answer - great that everyone was excited, nervous that something stupid could go wrong.

Great answer by Kelly- he should have gone on to say we need to start acting like we’ve been there. Big wins like that should become routine enough that rushing the field should be considered passé.

Spot on. Too many crazies and unpredictable actions in mass crowds.

OK Karen. Have you ever gone on the field? It's not the big deal y'all make it out to be. Everyone survived.

students don’t deserve to storm the field unless they stay all 4 quarters for all the other home games

The students are going to force the University's hand at some point. You can't rush the field every year and sometimes multiple times a year. And it's not exclusively students. I saw plenty of adults posting on facebook. Before long there will be 10 foot fences around the field if this keeps up.

It would be called an insurrection at those schools on the left coast.

Seen this on TV. It looked as Someone in the crowd inappropriately touched a cheerleader while she was on the shoulders of another cheerleader. She covered her backside pretty quick and was yelling at someone.
