The whole point of management in almost any aspect is to train those below you to properly train those below them. If your doing your job right you walk around drinking coffee worrying about the big picture while those you've built up handle their roles. You get your hands dirty when you need to, but trust those you've put in place to do theirs.

Booger nailed it. I've been keeping a close eye on Coach Orgeron for many years. I just like the guy. And I knew when he was hired at LSU that he was the right hire. His coaching philosophy has changed a whole lot over the years. And LSU is fortunate to have him.

I hear a lot of this and have for years. everyone assumed he was a bad hire bc he wasnt jimbo or herman. I prefer him bc i love that guy. he loves the school, loves the state, and seems like a guy players would love to play for. he also went in humble just wanting the job. he didnt need to be the highest paid coach in the land. and part of his plan was to hire the best assistants now he is proving them wrong, and they are finding their reasons like always. "its his coordinators" and dude is trying to pretend like it wasnt a backhanded jab. i say take your stance now, put it out there, and eat the fkn crow when its served

So the idea is that O should hire assstants that suck so the he can get all of the credit for winning or losing since his assistants suck. Heaven forbid he should do his job and hire really good assistant coaches and win. Have people forgotten that Jimbo tried to hire Aranda away. You can bet that if Joe Brady and Dave Aranda had been hired by Jimbo or Saban everyone would be saying how great Jimbo and Saban are for going out and putting together a great coaching staff. By the way Nick Saban is not calling the offensive plays at Alabama.
