LSU signees Arden Key & Jeremy Cutrer have still not arrived on campus according to multiple sources. Per The Advocate:
quote:

LSU strength coach Tommy Moffitt said on a radio interview with Ben Love earlier this week that Key was not yet on campus. The school said two weeks ago that all but two signees had enrolled in summer classes – Cutrer and offensive tackle Chidi Valentine-Okeke.

All of the other 22 signees have enrolled, according to LSU.

@tigerbite I hate when college educated people say things like that. Listen, not everybody is the same, and the fact people with degrees (or working towards them) still don't get that, baffles me.

The leap for a few of these guys to go to a school like LSU, is possibly a similar leap for a guy like you to go to Stanford, Duke, or Michigan. For them to also juggle, what, 5 or more hours of daily athletic related things, while trying to study for class, is also tougher for them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's tough for everybody, but let's be real here, some of these guys wouldn't go or be able to get into LSU if they had enough money to attend (and LSU isn't hard to get into). Also, there are plenty of regular people who burn out or drop out of college with nothing more than having to go to class and pass. Meaning no requirements they had to meet for getting anx maintaining a scholarship like others do, or working to pay for college, or dealing with being fathers/mothers, etc.

As adults, we should realize that not all situations are the same, nor people.

They might be able to find them in one of the area jails...

Tigerbite, were you an athlete? If so, one would expect you to understand that the process is different for athletes.

Are you kidding??? I attended LSU in summer classes right out of high school back a few years ago and made it just fine. I had NO one to hold my hand and walk me around campus, have papers signed, get classes scheduled, attend classes, etc. If these guys and other like them don't have enough common sense to get through the process, then let them go elsewhere. Hell, we expect these guys to be brutal beasts on the field, yet wanna treat them like pussies off the field.

How many of these issues actually work out for LSU? I'm going to go ahead and not expect either this year.

Yes. SURE. It's Miles fault that 2 high school kids aren't on campus yet. Well, is it his credit that the 22 that are on campus then? I suppose it is Miles fault that the SEC screwed with Valentine last year after the NCAA had already cleared him?

Some of you chicken littles are the biggest doomsday predictors
I have ever seen. LSU will be fine.

And the hits keep coming. Lack of discipline in all phases: a hallmark of the Miles era.

Fuuuuck.

Is our compliance department the worst? Shouldn't they be helping these guys get all of their ducks in a row so we don't have to go through this every year?
