LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings, defensive tackle Maquedius Bain, & defensive back Dwayne Thomas were all arrested and charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Thomas was also charged with simple burglary, according to The Advocate:
quote:

Jennings, Thomas and Bain’s arrests stem from an event Sunday. The three players, including at least three more black males, entered a West Campus Apartment, a police report says. They did so with the presumed intent to retrieve items that were allegedly stolen from Jennings’ apartment on June 10 – a MacBook Air, three pairs of shoes and a PlayStation 4.

Not a great day for LSU football news as it was reported earlier that redshirt freshman defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao was arrested for his involvement in a bar fight on Wednesday night. He has also be suspended indefinitely.

And he was already facing charges for impersonating a quarterback.

Not how I wanted Harris to get the nod, but this may be what decides the starter.

First, get rid of Lmfao. He is a pain in the arse and is probably looking at jail time.

Second, Jennings, Bain, etc. will have charges reduced. The illustrious BRPD overreacts again and overcharges yet again. These 3 guys are going to be treated like criminals when all they really are is young and stupid. Unfortunately we are giing to hear
all kinds of dumbass crap about this situation until it is resolved.
Harris you better get your arse ready.

I think the fact that it's Anthony Jennings that's involved and people are jumping all over the opportunity to use this as fuel for the fire of getting Harris in his rightful starting role is what's escalating this so high.

This is seriously juvenile slap on the wrist type stuff.

He had his laptop, ps4, and 3 pairs of shoes stolen. He made a bad choice in not contacting the police but on the other hand he had no criminal intent in going to retrieve his own items back. I'm sure in his mind he was thinking he would call the police if he needed to but wanted to make that a last resort. And I can see how he may have thought how can I get in trouble by getting my things back because this person who stole the items is the one that's really at fault. I'm pretty sure the burglary charges will be dropped and a short suspension may insue for the undrppoed unlawful entry.

Yeah this is NOT petty bs, sorry, wish it was. These guys have been given an opportunity to get an education and its basically free. Full academic or athletic scholarships take a huge burden off famililies/individuals. I had 3 kids on full academic scholarships at LSU and they had to be responsible and make the grades to fulfill their obligations. They had NO tudors or special instruction to help them complete assignments, etc. The pressures were always there to do well or risk losing their academic supports. They were under the spot-light of public opinion just as athletes are because these scholarships come from public funds. Keep your mind on your business, work hard, and be careful who you hang out with and what you do with your free time. They were expected to try a little harder and be a better example because of these advantages. They were all successful and completed with degrees. It can be done. They took advantage of free tuition and enjoyed successes that came with it. They worked hard and tried to make wise decisions. A true TIGER can and will do what it takes to get the job done and do it better than most. My Mom and Dad were tigers....and so am I!! True tigers are expected to be a cut above the rest and we should demand it..on or off of a playing field.

Just a pack of thugs doing thug-like things. Its an ugly joke, and the joke is on the system, LSU. Its no wonder a pass cant be completed on ANY down, these guys are never in the right place at the right time. The thinking process of the QB must come into question. Team leader?? Are you serious?? Enoughs enough with this "Winston" effect in any college sport...If this is best and brightest, then we got to recruit players with a few more smarts.

Why people throw their future away with stupid stuff like this when they have every reason in the world to just keep focused and capitalize on their talents is beyond me. It ticks me off to be honest with you. All that talent, and they act like it grows on trees.
