New LSU coach Frank Wilson was officially hired on Tuesday and has already logged some serious miles on the recruiting trail.

On Thursday, he stopped by St. James, Louisiana to see elite four-star wide receiver Shazz Preston who is currently uncommitted to a school.

The 6-0, 190-pound prospect from St. James, LA is rated the No. 3 wide receiver in the country and the No. 4 overall player in the state, according to 247Sports.

Preston announced in September that his top schools are LSU, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas. He is expected to visit Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Hope the purple and gold doesn't remind him of his team's nemesis throughout his high school career and it adversely effects his decision. We need you in LSU's purple and gold, young Tiger!

He definitely looks the part. Similar frame and plays bigger than that, and still has burst to run away from people
