Kid is probably pretty bright and on a scholarship for academics. You don't go to kinkaid as a dummy. One of the most exclusive private schools in Texas. Hopefully he can find a place on the team.

I always wonder why preferred walk-one go to big schools like LSU. I know there’s the rare success story but a buddy of mine did it and has regretted it for a few years now. He said he wishes he would’ve gone somewhere that wanted him, not somewhere that would take him.

wonder why we took him? Feel like there are probably more people out there that we could have given a preferred walk on to that would have accepted

How many guys out there are both good enough to offer a guaranteed roster spot to, and willing to pass on scholly’s to other schools? Go ahead and name them.

He is not getting a football scholarship... Maybe some academic money, but that does not count against the teams scholarships. If nothing else, he is a practice dummy... either way, it is a win for us.

Meantime keep your negative comments to yourself

Meantime, Bama and Clemson are getting 5 stars and winning championships. Now that is the harsh truth.

Our class is currently ranked higher than Clemson’s. Another “harsh truth.”

Another harsh truth is you are a fricking idiot. Every program has a need for a walk on program. Even your great Bama team has one. You are an insulting dimwit.

Bama had 6 preferred walk-ons last year and Clemson has them also.

You have to respect kids like this. He has 5 offers from small schools but decided to walk on at LSU where he knows he may never see the field. Welcome aboard.

When Jacob Hester received his scholarship people said the same thing about him. I hope he has a great career.

I know at least some if not all of those schools don’t offer athletic scholarships for football. I know Drake/Dayton/Lafayette don’t for sure.
