Winning championships have very little to do with this. Bench players can "win" championships and be no namers. Kid is going to go where he will most likely be able to shine. LSU is stacked at RB and hurting at LB. All depends on what he wants to do as a career athlete. I think he'll be back.

I think the NCAA might want to change the language of recruitment. "Verbal commitment" really should mean "verbal intent" and "Letter of Intent" should mean "Letter of Commitment."

STRIPES you are a 30+ year old man. Calm down dude. This is a 16-17 year old kid and they don't have the world figured out. Maybe your "above it all" self was this prepared at that age, but the majority of kids are not.

Maybe he doesn't want to feel guilty about enjoying the process and he committed when he was like 14. All we need to do is hope that he rejoins the good guys when the time comes to sign the LOI's.

Me personally, I don't see him going anywhere but LSU.

I don't know which is more nauseating. The "commitment/decommitment" of some 17-18 year old kid and the routine that goes along with it or the silly fans who post the congratulatory bs "He is doing what's best for him" or "Good luck to the young man whatever he chooses". What a load of crap. As if any of you who don't know the kid are truly thinking of his best interest. In reality, the young man is a Baton Rouge kid who grew up on LSU's campus and has throngs of people in town who support him. Now where can he go and be treated like he would be treated right here in his hometown? Personally I don't know the young man but if he was my son this commitment bs would never occur because until you are ready to COMMIT simply DON'T.

He's got a lot of people in his ear right now telling him what's best for him. What you hope is that he realizes that, and that it's just a bunch of noise, what really matters is what's good for HIM and not "them" whoever "they" may be, and he goes with his heart in the end. Otherwise, if you end up listening to people, you'll end up living with regret.

Whatever he decides, I hope it's HE that makes the decision on what's best for him and not somebody else.

This does kind of suck. Wouldn't he still get the attention even if he's committed. He still gets all his visits. He still gets the non stop phone calls. I'm not sure what de committing does or how it's beneficial. Good luck to him and I hope he comes back to the light. We need every guy we can get with his character and intelligence. And he's a pretty good football player too.

Uh ok. Anyone who took his "commitment" seriously is naive. The kid has been taking visits all along and many of these kids nowdays think they are Gods gift to football and their word is meaningless. Whatever he does then good luck.
