LSU Lands Commitment From Texas A&M TE Donovan Green

By Staff Reporter•Jan 11, 202512:48 pm•

Former Texas A&M tight end Donovan Green announced his commitment to LSU on Saturday while on campus during his visit.

The former four-star tight end from Dickinson, Texas, has 22 career catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns during the last three years at College Station.

Green missed the entire 2023 season after tearing his ACL before the start of the regular season.

The 6’4, 265-pounder is LSU's second tight end addition from the transfer portal this offseason, joining former Oklahoma TE Bauer Sharp.

I do not want to be in a situation where we lose Trey'Dez Green. I think he's a future 1st rounder potential. I don't know if we will use a 2 TE set or move TreyDez to WR, but TreyDez absolutely has to be on the field every offensive possession next year. Really need more Defense although done well so far in portal. CFP Semi were all top defensive teams.

TreyDez is a big bodied WR. We added the stereotypical TEs in this class. Chill, he’s not going anywhere

@81 Why let everyone know you're an idiot? I try to keep that a secret if I were you

NorthSider72•21 months

So it's recruits or nothing? That's the path to failure.

Is there ever too many Greens in the pot. I think not. BK is in a desperate state of mind. Sometimes being Desperate you achieve your highest goals

nickname the offense "The Mean Green Machine"?

PMacsBackup•21 months

Gotta change that jersey number, but an 8&4 loss is our gain. Time to split Trey'Dez out, and now the WR room is loaded

i had missed that Bauer Sharp had picked the Tigers...of course this was after the Tigers picked Bauer Sharp.

‘Commitment’, lol. What does that even mean these days? It certainly doesn’t mean what Webster’s says it means or should mean. Instead of ‘obligated, promised, pledged, devoted’ it really means ‘selected for now, or leaning toward’. That’s the new meaning of the word.

I wonder if you ever had a change of heart in your life...

cajunmud•21 months

I don't think it's a change of heart. More like the rest of us...looking for a raise.

NorthSider72•21 months

And you've never changed jobs because of a different opportunity?
