Four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy of the class of 2026 announced his commitment to LSU at the Under Armour All-American Game.

The 6’7, 245-pound lineman from Tupelo, Miss., chose the Tigers over Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC, Alabama, and others.

McCoy is rated the No. 12 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 6 player from Mississippi, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

He is LSU's 6th verbal commitment for the class of 2026.

Committed huh. Sorry if I don’t find that word exciting anymore. Hope he signs eventually.

My idea of committed now is when they sign on the dotted line for LSU. Verbals don't mean much anymore.

When he signs I will say congrats and welcome, until then it's all a soft commitment till the money war is over.

2026 is light years away in the recruiting world. A commitment like that is barely worth a nickel.

They really need to stop using the word ‘committed’. It’s terribly misused these days. Should just call it ‘chooses’ or ‘currently selects’ Not knocking this kid and his decision- it’s great for him to choose LSU. But hopefully he truly is “committed”!

Jesus, the amount of "fans" shitting on a young man who said he wants to come play for LSU all because some other players left us at the altar is crazy. Some major insecurity in these comments.

It’s not about this young man in particular, it’s about a generation of young men who have no loyalty and less backbone but call it what you will

For a few dollars more, he'll shite on LSU for another program.
