Report: LSU In "Full-Press Mode" To Clear Javonte Smart For Florida Game

UPDATE: Javonte Smart has been cleared to play.

As of Friday at 9 a.m. CT, there has been no determination as to whether LSU freshman guard Javonte Smart will be available for the Florida game in the SEC Tournament on Friday.

On Thursday night, Jacques Doucet with WAFB reported that LSU was in "full-press mode" to get freshman guard Javonte Smart cleared to play.

Smart did not play in LSU's season finale last Saturday but did travel with the team to Nashville, Tennessee for the conference tournament.

LSU and Florida tip-off on Friday at noon CT on ESPN.

They're going to clear him at the last minute and try to paint it like they're heroes for getting it done. Call a press conference to pat themselves on the back like "We did it, guys! We had to work all night, but we got it done. We overturned our own decision, what an accomplishment."
