Seriously, as far back as I can remember, I followed CBB and I always liked Dick Vitale, but there is something about this situation that seems like he has some type of agenda. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but when yahoo published their article, the day after we beat Florida, the second time we played them (our last away game of the year which we won to finish conference play on the road undefeated) I thought the timing was interesting. That same day there was the USA today opinion article and then Dick Vitale tweeting about the situation. He gets called out, especially how he continued to support Rick Pitino and never criticized him and he says that everything with Pitino were rumors. Under Rick Pitino there was a madam who testified Louisville paid her thousands of dollars for her to provide girls for recruits. Then there was a wiretap situation in which someone was referred to as "coach 2", that was obviously Rick Pitino. There were some other situations he was involved in that wasn't directly basketball related (he sued a women he was cheating on his wife with for extortion because she told him she was pregnant and he gave her $3000 to have an abortion, but she wasn't really pregnant, she just told him that to get money from him). It just seems funny that Vitale has no problem defending a guy like that, but makes Will Wade seem like some horrible person. Then last night with these tweets, it's like he wants to make sure the story doesn't just go away. But he has never once mentioned the fact that a Kansas assistant coach was on wiretap discussing what Zion Williamson was asking for ($100k and a new home for his parents), but of course he commits to Duke (I would think that one would have to ask "well if he didn't go to Kansas, who was going to give him $100k and a new home for his parents, what did Duke give him?). He has never discussed the fact that around this time last year there was an article published that mentioned there could be up to 50 schools involved in this investigation which listed 15 schools that were possibly more involved, which included "blue blood" teams like Duke and UNC. So what is his agenda? He is supposed to be on T-Bob Hebert & Jordy Coulata's show tomorrow morning, I have a feeling he will either cancel last minute, but if not I want to hear how he avoids the questions.
