LSU Basketball coach Matt McMahon landed a big commitment on Tuesday afternoon from four-star power forward Corey Chest from Eleanor McMain in New Orleans.

Chest is the No. 1 player in the state of Louisiana for the class of 2023 and the No. 12 power forward in the country, according to 247 Sports.

The 6-8, 180-pound recruit is LSU's first commitment for the class of 2023.

This kids still got his senior year of high school left and is built extremely well . He long but muscular. That could be a really good combo . Brandon Ingram and kd are long too but they don’t have the thickness of this kid.
Even if he’s just an average scorer as a freshman he would be a great defender.

If he can score at all he will be a one and some at his size

Meant to say he could be a one and done if he’s a scorer and not just a defender. If he shoots well from 3 as a frosh at lsu then he will only play here one year. Nba is all about those 3 and d guys
