Kentucky's head basketball coach John Calipari recently downplayed the success of the Wildcats football program by reducing the university to a "basketball school"...
Kentucky's head football coach Mark Stoops did not appreciate those comments... Shortly after, former Kentucky punter Max Duffy took a shot at Coach Cal and the Wildcats basketball program... (The Spun)

It's bad when the punter even buries you.

His record is 59-53. It’s a basketball school.

and he is incorrect where?? Bryant left Kentucky because his 2nd contract at Kentucky was peanuts. Any true "football" coach that wants to compete at the highest level isn't staying at Kentucky if the big boys call. I admire what Stoops has done there but he's at the ceiling. What was the most impressive thing I ever saw was what Billy Donovan did at Florida. Florida doesn't give a shite any more about roundball than all the other SEC teams and had never tasted success.

I'd bet Stoops wouldn't back down from playing Gonzaga... if they had a FB team.

Kentucky is a basketball school. He’s right but I’m not sure why he would even mention that. :why not both?:

Or that cal doesn’t care about championships. He cars about getting players to the league.

good grief, Stoops, UK is a basketball school, of course. No big insult at the football, program, but UK has been a basketball blue blood for 60+ years.
