To all who say the Ref deserved it...I can't tell if you mean that or just trying to be an internet bad-arse. If you truly mean it, then you don't love football. See, without officials there would be no football. Recently with a movie like "Concussion" and other media releases and medical experts speaking out the sport of football is on a slow decline. Parents don't want kids playing football anymore. Referees are still trying to make the game safe. This official may have made some bad decisions in his practice, but no way did he "deserve" to be assaulted.

Not enough video to determine if the ref deserved it but seeing him pushing a guy a foot or more taller than him makes me think so. Ref putting himself between the opposing team to keep the peace is one thing but pushing him around as if he were a child is another. All I know is, the ref got laid the frick out! He was laying there spread eagle.
