You talking about Brandt's Maisonette? I really like the place. My parents love it so I try to take them there as much as I can. I think their duck is the best in town - you need to call ahead to make sure they have it then tell them to put aside one for you....
Same here. I think the best you'll do is Gaido's on Seawall Blvd. But not sure if still open post-Ike....

meh. If you have to go, the best menu item I've had there is the french onion soup. But that is relative....

I was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed the pork-on-a-stick. I'll definitely go back when in need of a quick, on-the-go bite. Looking forward to cooking up their sausages in my red beans too....
Chuy's! Food is excellent, the atmosphere hilarious. There are several in Houston. So wish they would expand to BR....

Stein's cane syrup, liquid smoke, Worcestershire's, ginger powder, low sodium soy, beef boullon dissolved in 2 cups water. Soak already sliced meat strips in that for at least two days, then smoke (or dehydrate)....
Got the Amber Romance spray from Victoria's Secret as recommended on this board and it does a pretty good job of keeping them at bay....
