For me in would have to be seeing a red fox squirrel hunting. It looked so graceful. Or a group of cupping mallards gets me every time.

Same here, except I was deer hunting sitting on the ground. It was pretty cool.

I was fishing Lake Verrett this Saturday, running my boat in the lake along the cypress trees and a Bald Eagle circled ahead and dove down grabbed a fish about 20 feet from my boat. It was pretty awesome.

I'm sure I'll think of something else later.

Had a turkey perch on a branch directly above my head and proceed to make all kind of noise (this was during deer season, would never happen during turkey season ). I've never been that close to a live wild turkey before. Also, I love to watch deer in the wild. They are so graceful... just before I choot them.

My car, after climbing the Regular route up the Fairview Dome. Started at sunrise and got back to the rig after dark. I'm not a praying man, but I'm pretty sure I made a few deals with the spaghetti monster to get back alive.

Climbing partner was less than no help so I had to do it by myself, no topo (since he knew the way...pfft). Pretty sure I made about 50 life saving decisions, all but about 6 were luck. Those 6 were the times I waited on the party behind us because there was no way I could make a call.

The descent ropes didn't even make it to the ground. Just rapped off of the end of them. I think I cried when we got to the car, a bloody pulp.

Otters playing in the swamp about 5 feet away from me was probably the coolest thing I've ever watched. It was 4 of em and the water was about knee deep. One of em crossed over the top of my boot.

I was hunting along a canal that had about 40 wood ducks in it. There were always a mess of them taking off or landing. Pretty badass, of course I was deer hunting at the time.

Changed my life. I thought I was a climber before that. After that I knew I was just a lucky bastard from the flat lands. That was my last traditional (protection) route I did. Moved from Cali after that, dreams shattered. Like I stared in the face of the death and saw precisely how I didn't want to die. Felt like death was just trying to pull me off of that rock the entire day, I was just fighting like hell not to succumb.

Funny story, about 1/3 of the way up I was crouched down on a ledge fixing an anchor and this dude just says 'BOO' behind me. He's extremely lucky I didn't flail his arse right off of that cliff. He was climbing it without ropes or anything, free-solo.

- Sitting on top of a mountain in the Gila Wilderness Area as the sunset, nobody within miles of me, listening to about 10 gobblers sound off all around me.

- Any cold, frosted morning, while sitting in my climber 30' feet up a huge oak, over looking a large clear cut.

- Glacier National Park. The entire place.

- Watching the sunrise on top of the mountain overlooking Aspen, with my new wife sitting by my side.

- Sitting on the edge of a lush, green field, with spring flowers in full bloom, watching a mature Tom strut and dance in front of me, as the spring breeze warms my face.

...and many, many more memories.

I guess these arent pretty or spectacular, but they are notable.

once while boiling crawfish, a few got out and were crawling in the yard. all of a sudden, a hawk swooped down and grabbed one about 10 feet away from where we were standing. pretty cool.

saw a bob cat go after a yearling once. that was pretty cool.

saw some does fighting. all out knock down, drag out fighting too. it was crazy.

saw a bobcat go after a fish. that was really odd.
also saw a bob cat climb a tree which was neat.

I saw a buffalo on my grandmaws property. it had gotten out of a high fence place a few miles a way and wandered onto her property.

I saw a doe stand up in the back up a truck after after being shot an hour before. it fell over the side and flopped a little more.

saw a two headed turtle that a guy had caught in St. Bernard.

saw a bass someone caught that had eaten a bird.

saw "space trash fall from the sky one morning. it lit up the entire sky in a flash while we were driving to our lease. we had no idea what it was but when we got back to the house the news said space trash had fallen near us.
