Went a couple of times and really liked it. Good ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Saw another gentleman eating a poboy styled sandwich of some sort that also looked delicious.

Would really like to encourage ppl to go cause they're in a really shitty location and I've not seen more than 2 tables there whenever we go.

It's across the street from Wal-Mart in a small "shopping center" type place. If you are coming from LSU, you pass up perkins and it's on your right before the WalMart intersection.

Fried chicken on a stick, and bbq ribs are off the hook.

Exactly, it is where the old quiznos is if you remember that.

The ribs are delicious. Not as much as a fan of their pulled pork and brisket because it copmes out drenched in a sauce as if it had been sitting in it for a while. I like my meat to come out dry and add my own sauce.

I'll go back just for the ribs though, best I've had in a while. Their sandwiches and meat on a stick also look good.

I've had Suckers three times now, think it's become my go-to BBQ place. Their smoked sausage is so awesome...and I'm not usually into sausage...wait, what?

I thought the smoked sausage poboy was really good. I've enjoyed this place each time i've eaten there, I hope they make it.

This is great to hear...ITs right by my house and I love good BBQ, definitely gonna try it this weekend. Do they sell beer too or is more of a fast food BBQ type place?

I really don't know if they sell beer. I've only been in and out at lunch, and never seen any. It's not "fast food," it's more like a market with tables. They have a bunch of tables, but you're not waited on...you place your order at the counter, they call you, and then you bring it back to your table.

One should always be expected and allowed to sauce one's own pork.

Ask for the sauce on the side.

had a pulled pork sandwich w/ side of beans.

the pork was OK. I think voodoo's pulled pork is better.

was disappointed in the beans.

I'll have to try some ribs next time i go.

Wanted to bump this...

Went for lunch today. All around pretty solid. Had the rib and brisket combo. Both were good. Next time I'll remember to get the brisket without any sauce on it. The ribs were pretty damn good. Could be a tad bit more tender but that is just nit picking. Beans were pretty good, and cole slaw was kinda heavy on the mayo, but still good. I'll definitely keep it on my list of acceptable places. It's much better than Voodoo, and on par or even a little better)than TJ Ribs imo.

Sounds good. I'll have to check it out. I'm hoping the ribs don't fall off the bone, which seems to be a fascination of a lot of people for some reason.

no, def not fall off the bone. There was a slight grip to them. One of the 4 ribs i had was a little tough, but the other 3 were dynamite. Had great flavor on their own, no sauce applied.
