The in laws are coming to the house for the fourth and they want to go down to Galveston for a day over the weekend. Any ideas on a casual seafood restaurant on seawall blvd? Looking for a place to hang out with a fun atmosphere, but entrees for around 20 bucks max. They are on a budget and refuse to let us pay for dinner.

I have yet to find a GOOD seafood resturant on Galveston. Goo Mexican, good Greek, good white table cloth but not a one good seafood place. it is just that we prepare seafood differently from the way they do. Wish I could hel you but you might try Zagat or Trip Advisor for ideas.

Same here. I think the best you'll do is Gaido's on Seawall Blvd. But not sure if still open post-Ike.

spot sucks.Gaidos was great but has really crashed. Will be busy as can be as will everywhere on Seawall but the food is not even average. Gorditas for Mexican, cheap, cash only.Do you speak Spanish? Paco and Rudys great but white table cloth. One bet that may work for you is M&M, they do have some seafood. Oceania Grill has some fish at the harbor location but it isn't $9.95
