Ate at Superior last night and I finally figured out why I don't like it.

Besides being grossly overpriced, any of you who cannot make better tasting mexican food should resign from the food board. Somehow, they are making a killing though.

If you're talking about the one in Shreveport, I think most people just go for the atmosphere. At least I hope so.

I'm always surprised at the hate Superior gets on here.
I have a pretty developed palate, and I don't find it bad.
I find it consistently decent.

Superior is good if you want to split an order of fajitas with a SO or a friend.

Their sangria margarita is excellent as well.

Of course, this is my opinion on the Birmingham, AL location.

That shouldn't get an hour wait and $12 for a half order of nachos.

I think it is ok and def. better than 90% of the shite everyone around the state calls Tex-Mex.
Def. better than the likes of Las Palmos, Serranos, Chevy's, Maria's, and the typical grease and cheese place every small town seems to have.

Pretty much always went there for the happy hour specials and the eye candy. Food is decent, but usually never leave the bar area.

you seem kinda dumb if it took you multiple visits to come to the realization that you don't like the food somewhere.....seems like that would have been an easy one to figure out

You don't know how much truth is really in that statement and why everything in general hinges upon it in food.

Serranos is horrid for anything beyond a margarita, and chips.

While Superior is not the worst Mexican food in New Orleans, it is nevertheless mediocre at best. Hell, Juan's and Taqueria Corona are both much better. Then there are the hidden gems around the city. Don't know why anyone would go to Superior unless absolutely necessary.

And the drinks are expensive- $14 for a top shelf magarita?
